Some people mistakenly refer to the Age International recipe as 'high rye' but it is not, it just happens to be slightly higher than the BT recipe, but it's still in the standard range. A true 'high rye' should be in the neighborhood of 30% rye.Chuck Cowderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12191121480961526039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5459913366176838409.post-31725761176280316622015-09-23T18:22:44.104-04:002015-09-23T18:22:44.104-04:00Was at a Goody-Goody package store looking for som...Was at a Goody-Goody package store looking for some Buffalo Trace; none to be found tried this instead based on an employee's recommendation-----not as good as Buffalo TraceAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10664872842810694953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5459913366176838409.post-71071913392458972042015-09-23T18:19:28.591-04:002015-09-23T18:19:28.591-04:00Interesting that this name(Kelsey Creek) is regist...Interesting that this name(Kelsey Creek) is registered in Dallas,Tx behind another name also in Dallas,TXAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10664872842810694953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5459913366176838409.post-7568289875831579482015-03-18T22:09:27.208-04:002015-03-18T22:09:27.208-04:00Kyle - thanks for the additional information. Since this is coming from Barton, I would expect it to be from there but they could very well use high rye or low rye BT distillate.Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03084821666852687199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5459913366176838409.post-85515917438005110452015-03-18T19:12:16.050-04:002015-03-18T19:12:16.050-04:00While visiting Buffalo Trace late last month, I sa...While visiting Buffalo Trace late last month, I saw an empty bottle of Kelsey Creek in the Blanton Bottling Hall. Same bottle as Rock Hill Farms (didn't have a cork in it, so I'm not sure if that's the same, too) but with the Kelsey Creek label. I snapped a picture of it as a reminder to look it up later, but this is the first mention of it I've seen online. I also wonder if this is going to be a label for certain retail chains like a Kroger or Costco. This one doesn't appear to have followed the same submission chain as others....e.g. new Company name along with new label. Wasn't it 2004 when Sazerac lost a lawsuit to Brown-Forman over Ridgemont Reserve being too similar to Woodford Reserve?

-BennyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
