So, tomorrow, I'll be lifting a snifter of something delicious to those that came before us in repealing prohibition. My drink of choice? I'm leaning toward a Prohibition Old Crow and a post Prohibition Mt. Vernon Rye.How about you?
Aged spirits and cigars from a collector with 20 years of experience. Honest reviews, vintage bourbon finds, dusty hunting stories, barrel picks, and relaxed cigar lounge thoughts.

I'm planning on putting an PVW 15yr vs OWA vs OWA TPS private barrel just for fun. Bottoms up, brotha.
ReplyDeleteBottoms up indeed! I'm sipping on a GI Bourbon County Brand Stout.....super tasty. Gonna dip into some bourbon right after.
DeleteIt was a late day at work for me so didn't get home until just before 8:00. I started off with a Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout and then moved to a 1936/1941 Mt. Vernon Rye. Nose had had a old leather smell to it....tasted fantastic.
ReplyDeleteMy plans took a detour when I remembered I got a bottle of High West Prairie Reserve that I hadn't tried yet. Decent stuff. Followed it with the Saz 18 from 09 which I love.
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds like an interesting evening....
ReplyDeleteWhich year of the GI Bourbon County did you try?
ReplyDeleteThe current release. This is the first time it's shown up here in VA.
